From January 2 – 22, LeFort Fitness is hosting a 21 – day core blast challenge. This is a series of workouts designed to sculpt your core through strength, balance, flexibility, endurance and explosiveness training. I coin these segments as the Five Pillars of Fitness. Highlight videos from each day will be posted on Instagram (@LeFortFit), Facebook (@LeFortFitness) and YouTube (@LeFortFitness). Each program is basically 1 or 2 series of 5 exercises that are performed for one minute each, and the circuit may be repeated. The idea is not necessarily to exhaust your abs, rather we train various aspects of the body each day with different emphasis culminating in shaping of the core. Try a workout, follow us on Instagram for daily posts and check-ins. Work hard, see results!

In the late August, a friend of mine quipped that she feels like a 2nd rate citizen since LeFort Fitness was only available for Apple at that time. Over the last month and a half, I made it my personal mission to work tirelessly to learn the ins-and-outs of the Android system and push our fitness app onto it.
I am pleased to announce that the Android version of LeFort Fitness is now live at the Google Play Store. So now, you can download our app for free on either your Apple or Android smartphone or tablet. I have an ambitious dream for LeFort Fitness and together, we are making significant steps towards realizing that dream. If you do LeFort Fitness workouts consistently and eat appropriately, you will see improvements in your fitness. Work hard, see results. Join the movement now!

In many aspects of life, having an accountability partner can help keep you on track. The same goes with fitness. For me, my fitness partner is my brother. Although he is 300 miles away, we still text to let each other know how our workout went. It spurs some friendly brotherly competition. In fall 2016, LeFort Fitness will add a buddy system so there will be built in accountability. Your fitness is our joy.

In the Fall, expect a major update for both platforms that will start to use advanced intelligence to better customize your workout. I’m excited, let’s do this.

So, you have successfully started an awesome workout program and did a great routine on day 1 and you were definitely pumped. Now it is day 2, and you’re like “What was I thinking? My body is hurting, I can’t feel my toes. LOL” This has happened to me a few times before. The temptation is just do nothing for the next few weeks but that isn’t helpful for your overall fitness. The key here is to employ a concept I call “active recovery” in which you do a light workout and/or stretch on your off-days so that your body is ready to spring back during the workout days. This requires dedication and pushing yourself in terms of being consistent.
The parallel that I can draw is to soccer great Lionel Messi and basketball legend Lebron James. During the game/match, both these athletes make incredibly hard and skillful runs at key points. They carefully pace themselves while they recover during the other sections of the game. They are not still during these times but they keep moving, ready to pounce when the moment calls.

Mixing in sports, cardio and weights is a great way to make sure that you aren’t bored while working out. Power stretching and soccer has been my Sunday routine for the last few months, and I mix in LeFort Fitness workouts and cardio during the week. Your workout time can also give you some time to unwind away from the various stimuli and worries from daily lives. Whether you’re religious or not, spending a few minutes during your workout to just reflect and be thankful for the ability and time that you have to exercise can be extremely powerful.

Are you looking for the miracle, workout routine that will transform you into the figure of your dreams? Here is our little secret. The miracle workout routine is the workout that you actually do. What do we mean by this? Well, if your cup of tea is walking every day or doing pull-ups or playing basketball or a LeFort Fitness workout, if you do it consistently and for a solid duration of time, you will see lasting health benefits. I personally think LeFort Fitness is the best app for me in terms of optimizing my time at the gym, and that is why I use it pretty much exclusively for my workouts. To put it bluntly, it doesn’t make any sense to have a stellar 90 minute power-lifting, ab crunching, high intensity workout on August 1st if you become too hurt/tired/lazy to exercise for the next 3 months. Our central credo is do something everyday. Your body will thank you for it.

A nice solid stretching routine can really help loosen your muscles or also be a solid workout in itself. The latest version of LeFort Fitness incorporates some modified yoga poses or asanas. A few minutes of stretching everyday can really make a difference in terms of loosening your muscles and optimizing your performance, whatever your choice of sports may be.
